Getting Started
A typical process for a prospective client
First Meeting: Introductions and data gathering

During our first meeting, both parties will get to know each other. You will meet the O’Brien portfolio managers who will share the history of the firm and the firm’s investment philosophy. In addition, they will begin to develop an understanding of your current financial situation and long-term goals. The portfolio manager will help you compile all of your detailed financial information and begin the process of developing a comprehensive investment plan.
Second Meeting: Asset Allocation and Account Structure
The second meeting will focus on a detailed analysis of your current assets and overall asset allocation. We will have asked for information on your assets and therefore will be able to evaluate your current situation and how it relates to your long-term goals. The discussion will be centered on goals, risk tolerance and asset allocation. During this meeting we will listen to your concerns and share our ideas, developing an account structure and asset allocation plan to help achieve your long-term financial goals.
Account Administration and Set-up Process
When you feel comfortable with O’Brien Management and would like to move forward, we will facilitate the set-up process. We will complete the necessary paperwork including new account applications, transfer forms, trust forms, etc. Your assets will most likely be held at Charles Schwab and Co., a custodian with whom we have maintained an excellent relationship for over 10 years. Our team will work with both you and Schwab to ensure the most seamless transfer of assets so we can begin to actively manage your assets according to your investment plan.
